Message from BACDET
Honoring Our Past. Inspiring Our Future. The cultural identity of the Banyabindi people has long been at risk — not by choice, but by force. Colonial displacement, civil conflict, and political invisibility led to the loss of our sacred spaces, language use, and oral traditions. Yet our culture lives on — in memory, in resistance, and now, in renewal. BACDET leads initiatives to preserve, promote, and pass on the endangered cultural traditions of the Banyabindi, as a foundation for dignity, education, and collective healing.
